What are the eligibility requirements?

Below are the eligibility requirements for National Student Exchange:

  • You must be a full-time (13 credits or more), currently admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. (There are no restrictions as to your major or your college of enrollment.)

  • You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

  • You must have at least 20 U of M, Twin Cities credits completed by the time the NSE exchange begins.

  • You must be in good academic, legal and financial standing at the University of Minnesota.

  • Note:  Some NSE schools and academic programs may have additional requirements.

NSE gives you a great opportunity to enhance your experience at the University of Minnesota! Note also that NSE is not intended as a means to transfer to another school. Students who participate cannot gain state residency for another college through the NSE program.
